Disaster Update: Earthquake and Tsunami

The Sendai Airport reopened to commercial flights on Wednesday for the first time since the earthquake/tsunami more than a month ago. Although the flight schedules remain limited (and likely will for a while), this is a tremendous step forward toward recovery. It will allow aid and disaster relief teams easier access to the disaster-stricken area.

While there is still a dauntingly long journey ahead, this is certainly a milestone to rejoice in. We continue to pray for the victims and for our partners in the area.
